Healing protocols, A new Religion?

For the last five years I have studied health and healing through detoxification, nutrition and supplementation. I have educated myself on what is out there in healing devices, diet philosophies, supplementation, and other health and longevity protocols. As with a lot of things, the more you know, the more you find that you don`t know.
I have spent the last years not only reading, but also trying out the different diet philosophies, and gotten to know some of the self appointed Gurus out there. There are many, and I have come to notice that health is serious business, and business being a key word.

My personal belief is that we all have the power to go within and to seek out what is best for ourselves. Society has taught us that we have to turn to an outside authority for most things. A Doctor is one, to which we have given great power. My concern and observation is that even though many are turning away from treating their symptoms with a chemical Drug, they are still giving away their power. Health is big business for the Pharmaceutical Companies, but also for health promoting Gurus with natural healing Companies. They are all selling something. Books, herbs, supplements, and praying on your lack of ability to be your own healer and guide.

I think that we all need guidance sometimes, and that giving someone good advice and compassion can be essential. What I see too much of out there, is something that reminds me of religions. One health Guru has a theory on what a body needs to heal, and it becomes the only right thing. The followers get so dragged into this persons truth that they perceive every body else as wrong. Now, health might not be the focus anymore, what the Guru says is. One has gone from having one authority to another. One has gone from listening to a Doctor to a another doctor figure. Why is this a problem? For me it becomes a problem when the self thinking stops, and when everybody outside the belief system is seen as wrong. There is no right or wrong in health and nutrition, there only IS. The only thing that exists is what you find works for your body. It might not be the right thing for the next person but that does not mean it is not right for YOU.

The blessing is that people are healing from all sorts of illnesses. They are doing it on Low carb diets and High Carb diets. They are doing it on raw foods, and cooked foods. Some are doing it on a vegan diet, others are including some animal products. Meditation and prayers are enough for some, and others go on water fasts for optimal health. Some are interested in loosing weight and don`t care how they do it, other eat for enlightenment and vibration. Some are interested in saving the planet, and others have great compassion for the animals.

Listen to all, learn from a few, follow no one.

I find it very helpful to never take in any information that is based on fear. We are so easily manipulated through fear. “Do what God says or go to Hell” has worked for thousands of years. I can see some similarity in the up and coming healing business. ” Do it my way or stay sick”. I know from first hand experience that what works for one, does not necessary work for the next person. I believe we are all different, although I believe we are very much the same. By that I mean that we are the same in making, but our history, our imbalances, belief systems etc are so different, therefore our road to recovery will each have to be unique. I have asked many different health authorities about how to recover, and the answers are all different. How can they be different? I am the same? Think about it…

I still think there are fundamentals in how to experience perfect health and longevity. My belief is that we all need air, foods that nurture, to move the body, have positive thinking, and to love our selves. Other than that our needs will be individual depending on our loads of toxins, thinking habits, imbalances in the body and so on. I believe in alkalizing the body, and I think most agree on that, but even here, the experts don`t fully agree on what is alkalizing and what is acidic. What they seem to agree on is that all animal foods are acidic. Our minds are trying to figure out what the body already does.

I think health is natural, and I do not think we need to spend all our money finding health. I think the message of this year is that we need to go within and free ourselves from the need to be guided by someone else, by a leader. We are all leaders, we are all powerful beyond our wildest dreams. We all have the breath of knowledge within us, we just lost our way.

So, what if breathing and connecting with your inner knowledge would give you all the answers you need? Balance and health is so many things, and diet is only one piece of the puzzle. Living a happy life includes all primary foods like loving relations to others, having a fulfilling work or passion, being connected spiritually and so on. The more connected you get with SELF, the healthier choices you will make for yourself. As you love your self, you will honor every part of you, and stop what is hurting you. You can look into kinesiology, it is a great tool, and you can learn to practice it yourself.

Lift your spirit and let go of all the should`s and have too`s. break free from whatever religion is holding you in fear or out of free thinking and feeling. Break free and be a wayseer for YOU. Let it all flow towards you, and dont worry about a thing. It is all as it should be, YOU are magnificent just as you are right NOW!

Anything is possible!

Love and great health and longevity to you!
Hilde

I was recently eating a meal with 4 medical doctors that were all vegans and the one thing they all agreed on was that people need to become there own doctors.. This means we arm ourselves with knowledge from many different sources then trust our instincts and listen to our bodies. I was on track to receive my ND designation from a college when I became ired that many of the courses taught were about the “business” of the profession. I long for the day when someone does not have to have money to get health care and advice when needed. If we just help others , animals and the planet because it is the “right ” thing to do and make our monies off of other work, then we will have arrived as a compassionate species.

    Hello again Hilde!
I loved your input here, raw foods are so much more than just feeding our physical bodies and I hope you won’t mind me saying a few words about something that’s helped me tremendously in letting go of my fears. Obviously cutting out wheat and dairy from the diet, that is a great first step, but this was something else and on a totally different and unexpected level. My friend is an Thougt Field Practitioner and I went to her for help with some of the “die hard” fears and what came out of our sessions blew my mind. During the treatment I started having past life experiences coming back to me. This might sound like a form of entertainment, but I can assure you, it has put so many of my life challenges and old patterns into perspective. I got a new focus, and it became easier for me to let go of old guilt, fear, anger and shame. Part of the healing prosess is to forgive oneself. It is so important. We can not love and respect other people fully until we love and respect our selves. Giving the body raw foods, and nothing but the best nutrition is a part of that self love, and with this choice we also show a deep love and respect for Mother Earth. I have become so much happier from within, my heart fills with love at hearing a bee buzzing in the garden! I realize that this might not be everybodys cup of tea, but Maybe it can be helpful for some? Raw foods has obviously been a key factor in my road towards perfect health and healing, but since you where mentioning the spiritual side to this lifestyle, I just wanted to share this with you as well.
    Keep shining cyber space friend!
